The nation's leading independent music company and record
label, D and M, has announced the opening of their
facilities in Branson, Missouri.
The label, which boasts 14 artists from around the world,
moved from California following a corporate decision to
relocate.
"The move to the live music capitol of the world just seemed
to make sense at this time," said producer Dave Warren. "The
Branson area is due for a change and we believe we are the
right company to make it happen."
The company also is firming up plans for a theater in
Branson.
"Right now we are looking at the Star Theater as our
choice," Warren stated. "They have the right configuration
for us with 1,300 seats and a great sound system."
Warren said plans call for the stage productions in the 2008
season to feature D and M recording artists. "We are always
open to new ideas, " he said. "If
a group thinks they can present a polished, two-hour stage
show, we welcome them to contact us at
contact@dandmrecords.com."
D and M is also the driving force behind KDMR a 24-hour FM
and Internet station broadcasting out of Branson.
Warren said they welcome submissions for radio play as long
as they fit the station's format. That is primarily
independent music in blues, jazz, country, pop and
Christian.
The best way to get a feel for what we play is to tune in
online at
www.stardiskco.com/radio, Warren said.
The record label continues to grow and make a hit in the
music world.
"We are pretty selective in who we sign," Warren said.
"Everyone thinks they can do a CD but it's just not the
case. The reason we are doing so well is because of our
artists. For those who think they are a fit for our label, I
would encourage them to go to
www.dandmrecords.com
and follow the submission proceedure."
In Branson, the company will be using the Oak Ridge Boys new
multi-million dollar studio for their recording projects. |
